  3. Previously I had only owned one JJ Cale Album the Special Edition, which is a great collection of the mans work, I thought It's about time I had some more, So I purchased this one, Okie, also Naturally and Troubaldour, of the three this is my favourite, they are all good, but this one is just that little bit more laid back, even the more uptempo numbers Everlovin Women, and Anyway the Wind /5().
  4. j. j. cale’s signature laid back, bluesy style of country rock has distinguished him from contemporary early ‘70s singers. his unique sound shows on his third album 'okie' (), where he merges these influences with gospel. his influence on other artists lead to multiple cover versions of ‘got the same old blues’ with freddie king, eric clapton, captain beefheart, bobby bland, lynyrd.
  5. J. J. Cale releases ‘Okie,’ his third album recorded in Nashville () J. J. Cale’s ‘Okie’ is his third album recorded mostly in Nashville and released on April 30, by A&M / Shelter.
  6. I wish he were still with us and R.I.P. puttvabwallveponcisolezytofouli.coinfo! This particular release, 'Okie', doesn't have a bad or boring song on it.. no filler, just killer puttvabwallveponcisolezytofouli.coinfo at his best! There are good compilations out there but I prefer hearing albums (or CD's) as they were originally released.. Not a long album /5().
